I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Julia several times. She was a semi-regular in our office, good friends with my employer/friend and was a joy to know.

As an art director for several culinary associations, she stood out as the most wise and sincere of all the luminaries that visited.

I only found out after her death, that she was much more than met my eyes.

Any experience either in life or tape was a will be a joy for anyone who values French cooking, simplicity and truth.
