My Ride

When I'm in Korea I have a driver take me to and from my job. It's not just for me, there is a bunch of us always being shuttled around. His name is Chan and he is a very kind individual. I have had no time to get any drawing in. The only moments I get is when I'm in the back of the car being driven for an hour or so. Chan came in handy. Plus he was wearing a groovy hat.

War What Is It Good For

There is a war museum in Seoul Korea. Lots of stuff from the Korean War. Tons of tanks, planes, boats and what not. You name it, they have it. I never really saw a lot of war stuff up close. Everything seemed quite small. Little tanks and smallish guns. You really had to be close to shoot at one another. Scary to think about. Very different from the wars we have today. You kind of fly drones over people and then wack them by remote control. I felt a bit weird drawing the plane. I was trying to imagine what happened to the poor guys that had to use it. Without question, the toughest job in the world is being a soldier in a bad situation.

Flying Lounge

I just flew to Korea and once again I was on the new A380 jumbo monster. If you haven't ridden in one yet, just you wait. It is pretty amazing. Being a fancy boy, I fly business class. I heard rumors their was a bar lounge in the back of the business class section. This time I checked it out, and low and behold there it was. I felt like I was in some little basement bar down a little alleyway in Tokyo. You surely don't feel like you are on a plane. It was a great way to stretch out and kill a couple of hours. Plus you get to meet a lot of people on the plane. It's very convivial. Although I am living the high life at the moment, soon enough I will be sent back to sit in coach where I really belong.

The American Family Dairy Farm

The small family owned dairy farm is being swallowed up by the big mega farms making it harder for them to turn a profit and survive. I don't know about you but I'd rather get my milk products from a small caring farm run by a family than some giant faceless conglomerate. When driving across the country, would you rather drive past lovely little farms or a landscape of farms that look like steel mills. I'm sure this isn't just a problem that is limited to America. I made a little film of a friend's dairy farm. I'll bet the ultra huge mega milk farm factories couldn't make a little home movie like this one. The star of this video is The White Cow Dairy. It would be great to take small dairy farms off the endangered species list.

Going Underground

I'm not a big fan of train sketching. It always seems to look like the same 5 drawings over and over. There is only one human being who does it great. Cully. He is the true master. This drawing is a boring one I did recently.

Roses Are Red, I Mean White

Whenever I shoot with the great photographer Craig Cutler, I always draw the flowers in his studio. This is my 5th in a series.
