Kiddie Rides

I have always been obsessed with those kiddie rides in front of bodegas. So I just had to make a little film. You'll be amazed at how many I found in Brooklyn. Enjoy the ride.

How much did you spend on all those rides? I always begged my mother to let me ride them when I was a kid, but she always said no!

Just about the only animal I didn't see as a ride was a squirrel!

Too bad I wasn't your mother, Carolyn.

I only saw you wearing your helmet on one ride. You need to set an example to the kids, safety is no accident.

Are the two quarters at the end what's left from $20 in quarters?
If that was the laundry money I'm happy I don't share an office with you. :)

I remember them well, when I was young they were only 10 cents a ride. My Mom would leave me on top of the horse rides outside the store. I just waited for the older shoppers coming in - smile a little and they'd always drop a dime in the machine to give me a free ride! Oh the carefree days when you didn't worry so much about strangers...

I did spend a lot of money but it was worth it.

I used to love those rides as a kid, but would only go on the horses! I have a friend, Katie Morgan,

who is a Decorative Painter and she restores what would be the fore-runner of these mechanical versions.....loved the video and you didn't appear to fall off once!...regards ann.

I've never been on one! How long is the ride? I'm in a town of 70,000 and I have only seen a few around. Usually they don't work.

I would like to ride the pink elephant... a reason to visit Brooklyn! A lovely inspiring video, next time I follow the pleasure of a Kiddie Ride!

The ride is not long, only about 60 seconds or so.
