Farewell

Nothing can last forever but lately New York is losing a lot of it's soul. This whole housing boom killed a lot of what was great about the city. It has become a bit of a New Jersey shopping mall.

Love the pictures! Thanks for sharing them. I've always wanted to visit Coney Island. To me, a non-New Yorker, it's as big a part of Americana as much as Ellis Island. It's a shame that we are letting so much of our history change to a flavorless styrofoam shopping mall kind of culture.

My favorite part of Coney Island is when you're riding on Dino's Wonder Wheel, and you get a good look at the back of the haunted house, where all the cast-off spooky murals are stacked by the dumpster.

Great photos.
