I almost never do a drawing of nature. That's because living in a city, I rarely see any. While making a television commercial in Los Angeles, I had a little free time. I was sitting in the backyard of the house we used for a location in Pasedena. There was this nice little tree so I decided to give it a whirl. Kind of turned out pretty good. Maybe I'll try to seek out some more nature to draw. I've been cooped up too long.

Pretty. And in NY, if you're lucky, you can grow a little tree on your balcony or rooftop. Best of both worlds!
I'm not sure I can grow a tree anywhere.
Just beautiful, so much life and yet so simple, love it.
Sometimes nature is overwhelming to draw. Where to start. Do I draw every leaf? Yes, in my case. But I did try to make this drawing very simple. I think it worked.
I love this one, and as said before, simplicity is one of the reasons. You should really try to draw more nature.
