I was lucky enough to do a photo shoot with none other than David Lachapelle. If you don't know who he is then check him out. Look at his crazy stuff here. The guy is a living legend. He is also very wacked out, which is what I like about him.

Wish I Was In L.A.

I recently traveled out to L.A. to do a photo shoot with a very famous photographer. Very interesting indeed. I will reveal in the next post.

Souvenir Spoons

My mother-in-law and I are two of a kind. I have saved Italian tomato cans for over 25 years. I've amassed a huge collection of over 300. Jenny has done he same thing with those little souvenir spoons you see when on vacation. She has them from all over the world. Scotland, Ireland, France, Japan and all over the United States. She has spoons from George Washington's home, Bill Clinton's inauguration and Charles and Diana's wedding. By themselves they are not so impressive but Jenny's 294 are something to behold. She has a big wooden coffee table and they are displayed in six long rows under the glass top. Jenny and I sit and admire them for hours.

Many of you are probably members of Linkedin. It's a place where you can leave your resume online. You can make connections with people you have worked with in the past or even at your present job. You can get recommendations or write them for others. You can also link to people you haven't worked with, like friends, relatives or an online aquaitence. There is no more need for a resume. You can just direct people to your Linkedin page. It's pretty cool. If anyone out there is a part of it, you can connect to me here

Glass Half Full

I got the chance to do a photo shoot with Andy Glass. He's one of the best photographers in the world. Just go look at his work here. When we were finished shooting he had to get right on a flight to New Zealand. He had some type of attack on the plane. They had to take him off and rush him to the hospital the second the flight landed. He was operated on. They had to take out part of his intestines or something like that. Scary. the good news is, he is perfectly fine. He was supposed to do a big television commercial and print shoot there but his assistant had to take over for him. One minute you're fine and the next, who knows. Enjoy life because you never know what will happen next.

Another sketch in my office. I think up stupid stuff to say in the first person to amuse myself. I have been so busy in my office lately that it has really cut into my drawing time. Yun and I are in the midst of moving so that has killed my drawing time on the weekends also. Somehow I still am able to put up three drawings a week here. Let me tell you it is not easy but I will keep on trying.

A few weeks ago I did a photo shoot at Giants stadium in New Jersey. We shot in the coaches booth. The band, "The Police" had played the night before. They were putting the field back together. It was a very easy shoot and I was home by three in the afternoon. I felt like Huck Finn Playing hookie.

The 4 Train

Yun got Yankee tickets from her company. When we got to our seats they were in the front row, right behind home plate. Yun said it was the closest she ever sat. I said, no kidding it is impossible for anyone to sit any closer. I was practically playing. I did a nice painting of the game which dazzled all the housewives sitting around us. Some kid sitting behind Yun kept yelling, "Jeter's not a cheater," over and over. We liked that one. All in all it was a fun day, except for the blazing hot sun. I burned my arms a bit.
