I went to do a drawing of my new neighborhood. It was an assignment for Sugar Frosted Goodness. I am still exhausted from moving. This was not easy to do but I forced myself. I complain a lot in the drawing.
Ooooh loads of grumpy comments. My favourite being the one on the right hand side. I could have done with a slightly bigger version of the drawing. It would have made your discontent more readable. But maybe it's just me (blind as a bat I am).
Can you post a bigger version of this, or am I going to have to buy a copy of the print to read it? I love that it's unfinished and the whole f-you quality of it.
Moving is akin to drawing out a root canal over several weeks. You have every right to be exhausted and a bit testy. I love that it comes out in the words, but the drawing is fantastic, as always.
This is my first time posting a comment here, despite coming to look on a regular basis (most days) for a good year at least. I really didn't realize how great comments are to receive until I started posting drawings myself, and so I apologize for not passing on encouragement sooner. Can I just say—wow, your drawings are amazing, so full of life and are a constant inspiration to me—and ask you to please apply it retroactively to everything you have posted in the last year? Sort of a blog comment equivalent of a "get out of jail free" card.
You have really inspired me, and for that I owe you a lot. But please note that I draw the line at helping you move.

Ok, I really like your work. Please, may you take a look to mine?. Is just a question of two minutes. I won't bother you anymore. Thank you so much.

Moving is a bitch. It took a toll on me.
i'm relieved that all of tom's complaints are vented through the blog and moleskin book!

Can't wait to read all the complaining live and in person in a few months.
